How do I access the Troop Only section of this website?
- Accounts are only available for Troop 662 Scouts and their Parents/Guardians. Click on any Troop Only page, and use the "Not a member? Create account" link to apply for an account.
- You will receive an email titled "Activate your account for Troop 662 NYC" to confirm your email address and create a password.
- We try to check for new accounts regularly, but if you are not granted access within 24 hours, please notify Membership Coordinator Saskia Siderow that you have created an account.
- When access is granted, you will receive an email titled "Troop 662 NYC gave you private page access."
When and where does the Troop meet?
We meet on Thursday evenings from 7-8.30pm during the school year at The Brick Presbyterian Church on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. We have a year-round calendar of activities, camping trips and summer Scouting experiences. If you are interested in joining the Troop and would like to see a meeting in action, please contact us from the link on the home page.
How do I register for Troop Activities?
The Troop Only section of this website has a calendar section to view upcoming events, but Troop 662 uses the TroopMaster system for all activity management such as registration and payment. Use the TroopMaster link on the menu to access this external website. Note that the account registrations are not shared between TroopMaster and the website.
How do I become a member of Troop 662?
Troop 662 is open to boys ages 11-18. If you are interested in learning more about Scouting with Troop 662, please get in touch - there is a contact link on the home page! Our Scoutmaster or Membership Coordinator will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible.
If you decide to start or continue your Scouting journey with Troop 662, our Membership Coordinator will explain the application procedure and annual dues. Please note that we are closed to new applications from April 1-mid-August, but always happy to hear from new families and to answer their questions.
Does Troop 662 accept girls?
Troop 662 has a linked unit, Troop 662G, that accepts girls from ages 11-18. Launched in 2024, the unit is small but growing fast. Girls interested in Scouting with Troop 662G can learn more by visiting the Troop 662G website and completing the inquiry form.
